Chantelle Gardner holds a Social Work BA with Honours and has worked within the Social Care field since 2007. She has experience working within and managing projects which support both vulnerable adults and children. She is also Volunteer Ambassador for the Ekaya Housing Association.
Chantelle has experience managing a number of Local Authority funded projects, some of which include a London Borough based Outreach Team working directly with rough sleepers, a drug and alcohol support service working with vulnerable adults affected by both drug/alcohol misuse and dependency, and a parenting support service which provided support and parenting programmes to young mothers in the community. She started her working career as a youth worker and progressed to managing projects which supporting both adults and young people with complex social and emotional needs.
Chantelle has experience and expertise in working across a number of vulnerable groups and is a great believer in having a good understanding and insight into the issues that affect people in today’s society, especially those within vulnerable cohorts such as young people, single parents, Black and Minority Ethnic people, LGBTQ and those who may face disadvantages due to mental health issues and/or disability.
She has worked first hand with individuals from disadvantaged backgrounds to work towards living a healthy lifestyle and prides herself on championing a culture of service user involvement as well as empowering citizens regardless of their circumstances, to exercise their rights and opinions about local policies and services which affect them.
