Irina Jarrett-Thorpe is the chair of the Board of Trustees of Chance for Life Foundation, Romania. Irina has over 19 years’ experience in the voluntary sector across Europe, and has worked in a variety of different roles. She has worked as an expert for the Council of Europe, delivering training programmes supporting volunteering and children’s rights in the Russian Federation; she set up Chance for Life in 2000 and led it as a CEO until 2007; has worked as Head of Volunteering for a number of Volunteering Centres in London, and is now a Fundraising and Strategic Development Consultant in London. Irina’s entire working career has had European projects at heart – involving numerous European organisations in partnership with Chance for Life – but also linking and facilitating cooperation between organisations from all over European Union.
