Piotr Sadowski has been the Secretary General of Volonteurope and Volunteering Matters’ Head of European Affairs since 2008. He is Polish and British by passport but considers himself to be a European Citizen. His education background is in Economics and Business Management, while his personal involvement with volunteering dates back to when he was a teenager, when he joined, as a volunteer, the Royal National Lifeboat Institution. While studying at the LSE, he volunteered with a charity providing education to terminally‐ill children and after completing his degree he began working with the non profit sector. Piotr enjoys travelling and now lives in London.
