Last week, I travelled to Paris to represent CSV and Volonteurope at the kick-off meeting of the ENGAGE project.

An Erasmus+ funded initiative, ENGAGE aims to develop a European toolkit for citizenship education for 8-12 year olds.

The project’s lead partner is CIDEM, a French association that champions citizenship and democracy. It involves nine partners from seven EU member states: Austria, Belgium, Germany, Spain, France, Poland and the United Kingdom.

At the kick-off meeting, partners discussed their progress to date and clarified the aims of the project, setting a timeline for the coming months. We also worked on the visual identity of the project and our communications strategy.

Each partner is now working on conducting a national needs assessment ahead of the next project meeting in Madrid in May.
