Spring is coming, and bringing with it plenty of new and exciting opportunities – especially as part of the EU Aid Volunteers Initiative. Alianza por la Solidaridad is leading and participating in several projects aiming at encouraging the participation in the Initiative by both organisations and volunteers. Whether you want to become a hosting or sending organisation, a deployed or on-line volunteer, there are activities for you.
Technical Assistance Projects will strengthen the technical capacity of potential sending organisations within the EU Aid Volunteers initiative.
Organisations from several EU Member States will be able to participate in activities such as:
- Webinars on the EUAV Initiative and humanitarian aid
- Training courses
- Tailor-made support aiming at certification as sending organisation
- Information events
- National focal points providing information
Alianza por la Solidaridad will be promoting these activities in Spain, and its partners will act in countries such as Italy, Greece, Romania, and others.

Deployment Projects will bring many volunteering opportunities – both in-presence and on-line – for EU nationals over 18 years old and nationals of third countries with a permanent residence permit in the EU. Different technical profiles (gender, administration, nutrition, social work, communication, among others) are needed in almost every region of the world (Middle East, Africa, Asia and Latin America).
If you are committed to improving the lives of people in disaster-prone areas or contexts of crisis, check out these volunteering opportunities:

In sum, whether you are an organisation taking a stance on active citizenship and humanitarian action, or a citizen willing to be part of resilience-building and disaster prevention activities in third countries, there are opportunities for you.#
Stay informed and make sure you don’t miss an opportunity!
